Can India Get Second Place in Commonwealth Games 2010
When the Commonwealth Games 2010 started in New Delhi, India targeted to get the second place in the medals tally and get more than 100 medals. With the current rate, we don’t think its possible. Let wait and see.

Commonwealth Games 2010 – Starts Today
After all the problems/issues, at last Commonwealth Games 2010 is starting today at 7:00 PM in New Delhi.
All the Commonwealth countries including the non-Commonwealth countries are looking at India now.
Its the pride for India to prove that, we can also conduct the big events. But the negative thing will be, the government will go some other events to conduct so that they can have more money in their pocket.

Mani Shankar Aiyar’s Remarks on the Commonwealth Games
Well, many people may not like the comments made by Mani Shankar Aiyar, but we think that, what he said is correct. We are the developing nation, not the developed nation, still we have many people who are fighting daily for their daily food.
If we are not wrong then still, 40% of Indian falls below the international poverty line. Its a shame on us and we are spending so much money for the games.
In 2003 also, Andhra CM Mr. Babu conducted Afro – Asian games by spending so may corers of rupees and so much of electricity was used in the games. At the same time, I was working for an MNC company from my village where there was no power in the day time. I used to sleep in the day time and work in the night.
The same thing is going to happen now, there will be many villages who will be living in dark and we will be wasting the electricity for the games.
