Indian stylish batsman V V S Lakshman said “he apologized Pragyan Ojha after the over”.

In 57th over, when Lakshman was facing Hilfenhaus, he wanted to take single on the 5th ball as he wanted to fact Johnson. But, Ojha did’t responded for the single.

“I know that the 6th ball will be a bouncer (which was actually), so I wanted to take single and face the next over” added Lakshman. After the end of the over Lakshman apologized Ojha.

Thanks VVS Lakshman For Winning The First Test Againest Australia

Posted in Cricket, Sports tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 8:53 am by itsourteamwork

Thanks VVS Lakshman and Ishant Sharma for you performance against Australia. You kept your head cool, played sensibly and won the test.

Chasing the target of 216, India were at 124/8, at the edge of a probable defeat. But, our Very Very Special Lakshman, with the back pain continued his batting with the help of Raina as the runner. He got excellent support from Ishant Shram. Both of them added 81 runs in 25 overs, taking India to the edge of a sweet win. But, the tension mounted when Hilfenhaus got Ishant out LBW, still India 11 runs behind the target. Ojha, the last man, again batted sensibly to take pass India to the required runs.

Zaheer Khan awarded as the Man Of The Match. We are not taking away the performance of Zaheer, but for us its VVS Lakshman is the Man of the Match.

From the Australia’s point of view, they have taken the 9 wickets, including the Master Blaster, Dangerous Sehwag, The Wall Dravid, the inform Raina, and the Indian Skipper MSD. But, they could not take the wicket of their favorite VVS.

Now we have proved that, India did’t got the First Rank so easily… India deserve to be the No 1 Test Team.

Pakistan Blaming India For Match Fixing

Posted in Cricket, News, Sports tagged , , , , , , at 10:15 am by itsourteamwork

Now its time for Pakistan to blame others. Its started blaming India and ICC. They want to get the proofs for taking any action against the suspected cricketers.

They want the complete proof. Yes, they need the proofs to take a proper action, but the cricketers at least should be suspended. Other wise, if they perform badly then they will be they will be suspected whether they are involved in any fixing.

Other thing is, the media is asking the opinion of every cricketer whom they are meeting for the match fixing. Somebody said that, Imran Khan should be managing the PCB. I do not know how many people remember, in his biography, Imran Khan said that “he used to get cool drink bottle caps for changing the shape of the ball”. So what he is going to teach the team? moral values or ….

Pakistan Cricket Vs Match Fixing

Posted in Cricket, News, Sports tagged , , , , at 2:19 pm by itsourteamwork

Pakistan Cricket and Match fixing are like close friends. They can’t live without each other. Whenever there is news about match fixing, definitely it involves a Pakistani cricketer and the bookie from either India/Pakistan.

Whom to blame?

  1. The cricketer who is getting into match fixing?
  2. The PCB who not taking any strong actions against cricketers who are involved in the fixing?
  3. Or the ICC who is not supervising properly.

Whenever there is a match fixing allegation and a Pakistani cricketer is found guilty, the PCB will impose penalty or ban on the cricketer for few month/years. Surprisingly, the same PCB will revoke the suspension on the cricketer.

This happened many times, and it will continue…

God Save Cricket

Virender Sehwag’s performance helped into to defeat Bangladesh in their Asia Cup opener and win bonus point also. Sehwag performance this time was with ball not with bat. His spell 2.5-0-6-4 restricted the Bangladeshies who were 81/1 at one stage. It was Sehwag’s best spell in ODIs, eclipsing his earlier three for 25 against South Africa at Colombo in 2002.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, the Bangladeshies had a good start and they were 81/1 in 13 overs. But, two wickets in two successive overs by Nehra pull them back. Then it was the party time for the spinners. Bangladesh last their 6 wickets for only 12 runs thanks to Indian spinners.

Chasing 168, India had moderate start by scoring 37 runs in 6 overs when Sehwag was out. Kohli and Gambhir added 43 runs for the second wicket. India Clean Sweeps T20 Againest Zimbabwe

Suresh Raina and boys taken sweet revenge on Zimbabwe by clean sweeping the two T20 matches.

In the first match held on 12th June 2010 in Harare, Indian bowlers restricted the Zimbabwe batsman for 111/9 in 20 overs. Only 3 batsman could score double digit. In reply, India started badly by losing Vijay and Ojha in first 3 overs when the score was only 12. Later India’s posting became worst when Rain and Rohit Sharma were out in quick succession. Virat Kohili (26 not out) and Yusuf Pathan (37 not out) played carefully so that India will not lose any more wickets. Both chased the score in 15 overs there by registering their first win in the tour.

In the second match held on 13th June 2010, put into batting by India, Zimbabwe manged to score 140/5 thanks to Taibu who top scored with 45. Chasing 141, India lost their fist wicket in the form of Ojha at 32 in the 4th over. Vijay and Raina played all kinds of shots and took the match away from Zimbabwe. Two wickets at the end of the match did’t stopped India from chasing the moderate score.

Suresh Raina awarded the Player of The Match and Player of the Series.

India’s consecutive win, after a poor performance in the ODI tri-series, will boost the confidence of the youngsters ahead of the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka which will start from 15h June 2010.
